A results-oriented information technology (IT) director, George Papamitrou has more than 25 years in industries ranging from fashion to medical devices to high-tech semiconductor. Currently, he serves as the director of IT business services for MACOM, where he oversees the direction and architecture for the company’s critical business systems. In his current position since 2018, George Papamitrou has helped launch a new Employee Portal, introduced a Robotics Automation Process to make repetitive tasks more efficient, implemented a new BI (Business Intelligence) platform, streamlined SAP ERP and contributed to the establishment of a resource center in India.

Prior to joining MACOM, Mr. Papamitrou spent seven years as director of IT and Director of sales enablement for Analog Devices, formerly called Hittite Microwave. He holds a bachelor of science in computer science from Worcester State University

Outside of work, George Papamitrou enjoys amateur auto racing and off-road motorcycling. He also lends his professional skills to a hip-hop music production company, assisting on a part-time basis with duties such as reviewing legal and financial transactions, managing marketing initiatives and developing business relations.
